India Launches ₹1,000 Crore Fund to Ignite Space Startup Revolution

India’s Union Cabinet has approved a landmark ₹1,000 crore (approximately $119 million) fund to support up to 40 promising space startups, aiming to propel the nation’s private space sector forward. Managed by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe), this fund will provide critical capital, addressing financial gaps for startups focused on innovative space technologies. By fueling advancements in satellite tech, space debris management, and beyond, the fund positions India to become a leading global space player, driving economic growth, high-skilled job creation, and technological innovation.
