The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has launched the second edition of its “LEAP AHEAD 2.0” program to support startups, especially those from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. This initiative, announced at the Indian Mobile Congress 2024, aims to nurture 25 startups by providing financial and mentorship support. Each startup can receive up to ₹1 crore in funding, with an initial ₹25 lakh and additional follow-on investments depending on progress.
In addition to funding, selected startups will benefit from a three-month mentorship program, offering virtual and in-person guidance. This initiative builds on the success of the first edition, which helped startups secure over ₹78 crore in investments. The program is part of STPI’s broader mission to foster innovation and growth in smaller towns, encouraging technological advancement across India.
STPI’s efforts are seen as critical to bridging the urban-rural gap and empowering entrepreneurs outside of major cities.
